STRATEGY · 3 PHASES

How this build plays

This prospective Thor list turns Equipment entries into cards and attacks into another artifact or creature entry. Automatic attachment and metalcraft support help translate those repeated entries into combat pressure.

  1. 01SET THE STAGE

Find a hammer, draw into the next

Stoneforge Mystic finds an Equipment from the library. Putting or casting it onto the battlefield with Thor and Puresteel Paladin present can trigger both of their Equipment-entry draws. Stoneforge’s activated ability puts the Equipment into play; it does not cast a spell.

    The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster

Flying Whenever The Mighty Thor attacks, exile up to one target nontoken artifact or creature, then return that card to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control. Whenever an Equipment you control enters, draw a card.

    Stoneforge Mystic

When this creature enters, you may search your library for an Equipment card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle. {1}{W}, {T}: You may put an Equipment card from your hand onto the battlefield.

    Puresteel Paladin

Whenever an Equipment you control enters, you may draw a card. Metalcraft — Equipment you control have equip {0} as long as you control three or more artifacts.

  2. 02BUILD THE ENGINE

An attack can be another Equipment entry

Attack with Thor and target a nontoken Equipment you control with her trigger. It returns tapped and triggers Thor’s draw ability. Sigarda’s Aid can then attach that Equipment to a target creature; the blink itself removes its old attachment.

    Sigarda's Aid

You may cast Aura and Equipment spells as though they had flash. Whenever an Equipment you control enters, you may attach it to target creature you control.

    Hammer of Nazahn

    Whenever Hammer of Nazahn or another Equipment you control enters, you may attach that Equipment to target creature you control. Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has indestructible. Equip {4}

  3. 03CARRY IT THROUGH

Keep the cards attached to the plan

Puresteel Paladin gives Equipment equip {0} while you control at least three artifacts, but ordinary equip timing still applies. Hammer of Nazahn can attach itself or another entering Equipment through a trigger and gives its wearer indestructible. Together they help rebuild attachments after Thor’s blinks.

Commander Bracket Assessment

Rules-Based Bracket: 3 minimumEstimated Power Bracket: High 3

Based on the 100-card main deck; sideboard excluded. The Rules-Based Bracket is the lowest bracket this card list allows under Commander bracket rules. The Estimated Power Bracket is a personal estimate of how strongly the deck plays. It is not an official rating.

Evidence and limitations

Rules-Based Bracket · minimum

  • 2 Game Changers: excluded from ordinary Brackets 1 and 2.

Exact Game Changers: 1× Enlightened Tutor · 1× Teferi's Protection.

Mass land denial registry: None identified in the checked registry. Modal or repeated-land targeting still requires a pregame discussion.

Your extra-turn cards: None identified in the checked registry. Opponent turns from Emrakul or gifts are not counted as your own chain.

Confirmed early two-card lethal or turn-chain flags are not inferred from keywords. This is a lower bound, not a complete combo solver or permission to delay a consistently early line until turn seven. Agreed Rule Zero / Exhibition exceptions are outside this ordinary-restriction check.

Estimated Power Bracket · High 3

Estimated from the card list alone, not from tracked win rates or game results.

Equipment selection and entry draws make a coherent resource engine. The efficient tutor overlaps with Stoneforge on artifacts but does not find every creature engine.

Assembly and timing: The commander must attack for its blink trigger, and ordinary equip timing still applies without an enabling effect. No consistently early two-card lethal line is established.

Recovery and constraints: Equipment and entry effects help rebuild attachments, while artifact wipes or removing draw engines can make recovery much slower.

Curve: 2.97 average nonland mana value. Cheap mana/land-search text: An Offer You Can't Refuse · Arcane Signet · Sol Ring · Sword of the Animist · Talisman of Progress. This text-derived reading aid is not an official score.

Search-library evidence: Cloud, Midgar Mercenary · Enlightened Tutor · Flooded Strand · Stoneforge Mystic · Sword of the Animist. This includes restricted and land searches; efficient tutor overlap is reviewed separately above. There is no official tutor-count cap.

Fast mana indicators: Sol Ring. Conditional free interaction: None identified in the checked registry. Conditions and resource costs still apply.

Key cards: Stoneforge Mystic · Puresteel Paladin · Sigarda's Aid · Enlightened Tutor.
